Regarding temporary stoppage of PMSBY Enrollment in the month of May 2016


Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana  yearly cycle is going to end on 31st May 2016 and as per existing rules, any person when enrolled for PMSBY on any date of a month, the Insurance cover starts from 1st of next month. Therefore, the depositors enrolling in the month of May 2016 will not get insurance cover for 2015-16 which is ending on 31st May 2016. Therefore, it has been decided to stop new enrollment in PMSBY for Month of May 2016. For implementing this, eligible age criteria has been temporarily changed in PMSBY. If any error in age criteria is encountered in PMSBY from tomorrow, there is no need to take up the issue with Infosys Help Desk or CEPT Team or CPC Teams. New enrollment can be started from 1st June 2016. Those which have already enrolled from date of starting of enrollment to 30th April 2016, auto renewal batch will run from 1st June 2016 to 30th June 2016 and in case of PMJJBY also, auto renewal batch will run from 1st June 2016 to 30th June 2016.
