Postal Assistant Recruitment Rules: Small Analysis

Postal Assistant Recruitment Rules: Small Analysis

Open Market : 50%

LGOs              : 50%

Open market means recruitment through Staff Selection Board i.e; SSC : 50%

LGOs means (MTS & Postman/Mail Guard ) recruitment through LDCE : 50%

Where is the specified quota for GDS ?

As per present recruitment rules, GDS to Postal Assistant vacancies arises only  from the unfilled vacancies of LGOs.

Now a days , all are aware there is no unfilled vacancy in any division because of allowing surplus candidates.

So, with out amendment of the recruitment rules, there is no use for all GDS.

And one thing i will tell you.

Maximum age limit for recruitment of a GDS is 40 years in the open market.

But , as per PA  recruitment rules , the maximum age limit is 30 years with a condition of 5 years of service.

Is it correct ?

And in the case of PA open market , the maximum age limit is 27 years.

For that, the next promotion is IPO.For PA to IPO the maximum age limit is 40 years. It is justified.

Why this type of justification was not applicable to GDS by raising the maximum age of GDS to appear for PA exam.

We see that Anganwadi workers who have worked for 10 years are eligible for appearing for ICDS incharge which is a Govt.Post. They have the 50% quota in that ICDS recruitment.

We (GDS ) want to upgrade socially and economically.

We request all you to make a move towards provision of seperate quota for GDS to Postal Assistant whether it may be 25% or 10% or what ever it may be.

With out providing such quota there is no use for all GDS at all.
