March 16 th Strike : Main Charter of Demand of GDS.

Date : 13.3.2017

March 16 th Strike : FNPO Main Charter of Demand of GDS.

Removal of Rule 3 A (i ) of GDS Conduct & Engagement Rules 2011:

As per the Rule 3 A ( i ) of  GDS Conduct & Engagement Rules , 2011 the GDS could not be engaged to perform duty beyond 5 hours. For the GDSBPM the maximum points is 125 for 5hours. FNPO & NUGDS submitted so many Annexures regarding  Right To Information Act of work load points of many BPMs who are working for more than 125 points at present. Excluding the duties performed for payments of MGNREGA and Social security pension payment which is on incentive basis. After implementation of Rural ICT it is full pledged postal operation through the biometric hand devices. In some Circles already payments were made through the devices.

As per the pronouncement of Hon’ble Prime Minister and Hon’ble Communication Minister, all the Banking transactions, E-Commerce, Insurance, Aadhar enrolment, State & Central Govt. Subsidies. Prime Minister Suraksha Bhima Yojna, Sukanya Samruddhi Accounts, sale of passport applications will be delivered to the public under Rural ICT through the GDSBPMs,  GDSMDs and other GDS employees.

In view of above we argued the Committee that the maximum 5 hours should be made 8 hours duly amending the Rule 3 A ( i ) of the GDS Conduct & Engagement Rules 2011. But the Committee does not recommend the removal of this cap. So FNPO was placed this demand in the Charter of Demands of 16 th March 2017 Strike.

NUGDS request all the GDS to participate in the proposed 16 th March 2017 Strike and make it a grand success.

CH.Laxmi Narayana
President , NUGDS.
