(a) the services provided/being provided by the Department of Posts in the country during the last three years along with the revenue earned/being earned therefrom, service-wise and year-wise;

(b) whether there has been a decline in the use of various postal services during the said period and if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(c) whether the Government proposes to take any steps to increase the usage of postal services in the country and if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the details of new postal services, if any, introduced/being introduced by the Government during the said period?

National Unions AP & Telangana Circles Delegation met Sri.N.Uttam Kumar Reddy Hon'ble TPCC Chief.

National Unions Delegation met Sri.N.Uttam Kumar Reddy Hon'ble Pradesh Congress Committee President , Telangana State at Gandhi Bhavan, Hyderabad and submitted a Memorandum on various GDS issues on 06.08.2018.

We requested the Hon’ble PCC Chief ,  kindly arrange appointment to our Delegation with President AICC, Sri. Rahul Gandhiji  to put forth anomalies in r/o implementation of Kamalesh Chandra Committee report and GDS Engagement Rules.

He assured the Delegation for getting appointment with Sri.Rahul Gandhi and also arrange a Interaction Meeting with GDS in Postal Department.

Minutes of the meeting held on 31.07.2018 with General Secretaries of GDS Unions.

Minutes of the meeting held on 31.07.2018 at 11.00 AM at Dak Bhawan with the representatives of GDS Unions to discuss the issues submitted regarding memorandum dated 12 July 2018.

As per minutes of the meeting :

● Issues on TRCA , allowances and date of implementation can not be discussed as these have been implemented after due consultations and with approval of the Cabinet. 

The following recommendations are being examined in detail by different sections of Directorate

A. Accumulation of paid leave to a maximum of 180 days

B. Insurance scheme

C. Limited tra nsfer facility

D. Voluntary discharge scheme

E. Qualifying service for LDCEs.

The following recommendations have not been agreed to by the Department:

1. Enhancement of paid leave from 20 to 30

2. Time bound promotion 

3. Enhancement of monthly subscription and insurance coverof EDGIS

4. Composite allowance to ABPMS in X,Y and Z classs cities

5. Enhancement of working hours to 8 hours

6. Discharge on last day of the month on which GDS attains theage of 65

7. All single handed BOs to be double handed

● Regarding the issues on Civil servant status and grant of pension to GDS, DDG (Estt) informed that these are all settled cases and also under judicial scrutiny.
